Field Trips

We are currently accepting new inquires for Boat Shop Programs and the Youth Boat Building Program.

For Museum Field Trip Programs, check back in the spring for Summer/Fall 2025!

Field trips at the Foss Waterway Seaport offer interactive, hands-on, grade-level appropriate experiences that support teachers’ in-class objectives – and they are just plain fun! We introduce students to Tacoma’s first port, the impact that urbanization has had on Tacoma, Commencement Bay, and the creatures that call the water their home.  Our aim is for students to develop an understanding of their environment and the modern issues faced by Puget Sound.

We require a 2 week minimum for booking.
