Event Crew
Non-Exempt, Part-Time/Hourly
The Foss Waterway Seaport hosts public and private events including festivals, weddings, proms, fundraisers, corporates parties, meetings, and more. The event crew is responsible for set-up, tear-down, security, janitorial during and after the event, plus vendor, client and guest liaison. Position is hourly and scheduled as needed, must be available weekends and evenings. Position is open to people 18+, customer service and/or hospitality experience a plus.

Part-Time Environmental and Maritime Educator - Spring 2025
Non-Exempt, Part-Time/Hourly
Foss Waterway Seaport is looking for part-time instructors interested in teaching science & environmental education to elementary and middle school students. This is an outdoor education position; there will be work outside in all weather as well as indoors. This position is part time and temporary only. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be part of our salmon release field trips at Swan Creek for over 1,000 Tacoma students in March. From April-June, you would be working field trips for all 7th grade students in Tacoma Public Schools at the Foss Waterway Seaport. This position will work directly with students in a fun and fast-paced environment. There are also opportunities for occasional events on evenings and weekends, which are not required.
