We offer a wide variety of classes to the public, led by experienced artisans and instructors. Our course offerings range from family craft events to intro-level adult woodworking, to advanced boatbuilding and marine technology. Sunday, September 24, 9 AM - 1 PM In this one-day class, you will learn how to use a variety of power tools, while building a small picture frame to take home with you! This course will focus on tool safety to build confidence in the shop. Your instructor, Alice, will help you learn the fundamentals of using a table saw, belt sander, miter saw, and more. Join us in the Heritage Boat Shop to explore the basics of woodworking in a hands-on, mentorship-based class instructed by Alice Clabaugh (she/her), a graduate from the Wood Technology Marine Carpentry program. Please wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothes, all safety equipment will be provided.
