Our annual Chowder Social is the Foss Waterway Seaport's only in-person fundraising event. This year, we are celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Balfour Dock Building, our cherished home and registered historic landmark. Last year’s event was a fantastic success, with tons of fun and amazing signature chowders from seven of Tacoma’s leading caterers.
· A working waterfront museum with over40,000 square feet of exhibits.
· A robust education program serving our community.
· Heritage Boat Shop where we teach boat building and woodworking skills.
· Beautiful indoor and outdoor event spaces.
· 1,200 lineal feet of affordable side-tie moorage and outdoor activity space.
In 2025, we will be introducing new community events and making some significant updates to the Esplanade, plus adding a much-needed commercial pump-out station on the Dock. Most of all, we are celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the home of the Foss Waterway Seaport, the Balfour Dock Building. In the year to come, we will expand our partnerships and programs to preserve our maritime heritage for future generations. Your support will ensure that we can continue to serve our community for years to come. Together, we can chart a brighter future for the Seaport and our surrounding communities.
