Seaport Adopts "America's Tall Ship" EAGLE for Tall Ships® Tacoma 2008
The Seaport will play host this summer to the 295–foot Coast Guard vessel Eagle. The three–masted barque, known as "America's Tall Ship", is the only active commissioned sailing vessel in the U.S. military service. The Tall Ships® festival, July 3-7, also marks the return of the Seaport's programming to the Balfour Dock building and completion of the first phase of construction — more than 440 feet of new public esplanade.
